Feeling Better and Ready to Craft!

Well, its been a while since i have found myself seated at my craft desk.... i've cleaned it up, dusted it off and here i have sat making my first card since my shoulder dislocation and surgery.... it feels so good to be back! its been a rough road medically but hopefully that's all behind me!  I've had alot of support from friends and family, which i am truely grateful for!  I've also had alot of horsie therapy....  amazing what an impact those loving, beautiful animals can have when you are feeling a little blue....  so... i may not be able to play volleyball with these arms, but i sure can craft!  I may not be able to run with this knee, but my four legged friends let me sit on top while they run for me!  When one door closes.... another one opens.... may we always remember that!

Oink Oink!

Another cute digi from Meljens Designs! And another fun Meljen's challenge - the challenge is to use pink and or red and kraft :)   I'm awfully fond of pigs so when this challenge came out I couldn't help but make a pig valentine card.  I colored the digi with my copics, cut out the image and backround with spellbinder dies, cut out some hearts with a heart punch, disressed the edges of all pieces with Tim Holtz Ranger Ink, put it all together on a Kraft colored card and drew on some faux stitching :)

Cowboy Up!

Well, this was certainly a fun card to make!  Inspired my Meljen's Challenge to use STARS and Meljens totally cute Billy the Cowboy Bear my first card of the 2012 is one of my favorites.  I used some scrap distressed star backround papers and my Old West Cricut Cartridge to bling up my Cowboy Bear (colored with Copics).  I used my Tim Holtz Disress Inks on the edges of the card and he image.  I used a brown Mark-It pen to add some stitching to the sentiment and the backround star.
