Thank You Hero!

I made this fall thank you card in honor of my brother who serves as a Medivac Pilot in the U.S. Army and has served 3 tours thus far.  At Friday Mash-Up the challenge is to give thanks, to anyone, or someone random and I though with the holidays upon us, as we get ready to share good food and make memories with our families and friends its a good time to send out a thanks to all of the men and women who have given up holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and just every day life with theirs.

The challenge over at Meljens Designs is to use brads so I used one of Meljens incredibly cute and fun new release images, colored him with my copics and embellished with two little button brads.  He's so darn cute and I'm a sucker for snowmen!  I cut out the image, the sentiment, and the backround with the Curved Rectangles Spellbinder dies.  I added a little bit of Tim Holtz distress ink on the edges.  Embellished with two fall leaves and a brad and drew on some stitching.

Thanks again to all of our hero's!

Hot Chocolate Fairy

This fun card is made with a new Christmas Fairy Digi from Meljens Designs.  They are too cute and so much fun to color with my copics :)  I even used my new snow pen to puff up the edge of her dress, hat and the bottom of the cup.  The sentiment was a free digi that I got from Meljens.  Then I put the card together with some scraps.  The red scrap cardstock is embossed with a snowflake folder for some added wintery flair :)  I used Tim Holtz Forest Moss distress ink on the edges of the images.
