Hi everybody! I am a single mom of 2 great kids and like many of you I am addicted to my crafts! From primitive dolls & decor to papercrafts of any style. Just hoping to share my passion with all of you and hopefully inspire new ideas! thanks for visiting!!! Vicki
I'm Vicki and i'm addicted to my crafting! I've been stamping, making cards, scrapbooking and making primitive dolls for over 20 years (minus a little break for focusing on having my 2 beautiful children). I started back up again to help support my sons quad racing career and my daughters love of softball and cheer. I decided to start this blog because I find that crafting is best done with friends. Their way of doing things often inspires new ideas in the way I do things. I wanted a forum for us all to be able to share and inspire each other. So let's get to know each other! Did you ever wonder why it is we get so crazy about our crafts? Not sure if its the high of creating something that makes us smile and feel proud... the break from reality and stress that engaging in our craft offers us... our craft is our vice... our survival technique... not exactly sure, probably alot of things feed the addiction! I'd love to hear why you are passionate about your craft - so please share!!!!
I designed these two prim dolls about a year ago. Its a great feeling to give a pile of fabric a little life!
I had alot of fun making this card for a very special someone's 70th birthday! I used the cutest monkey image from Meljen's Designs and some free birthday digi's I've accumulated. I colored all the images with my copics and cut the monkey image out with a spellbinder die. I used some red and gold cardstock - I embossed the red with a birthday folder and then used a corner slot punch so I could insert the embossed red cardstock into the gold cardstock. I used pop dots on the monkey, the balloons and the present for dimmension. Lastly, I used my Gelly Roll Pens to add a little bling, some baker's twine to give my birthday monkey a bow and some Fired Brick distress ink from Ranger around the edges of the images, just because that's what I do :)
Happy Birthday Guy! I'm so lucky to have you and Linda in my life and so happy you are on the road to a healthy recovery!!!!
This is just the cutest image from Meljens Designs. I had so much fun coloring it with my copics. The backround is made from a haunted house embossing folder (which I rubbed a white ink pad over to help the image pop a bit), the bats are an EK punch, the black spider ribbon is from the 99c ribbon bin at Michaels and then I used a purple spider embelishment from Favorite Findings.
Wow, a holiday card... I'm not ready to except the holidays are right around the corner! But...I couldn't resist the opportunity to use this snowman digi from Meljen's Designs... I'm a huge snowman fan and I love this digi! I colored the digi with my copics and cut it out with a spellbinder die. I also used some scrap christmas backround paper, my EK snowflake edge punch, a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and a holiday sentiment stamp.
The cool, fall weather has arrived! Now if we could just keep fall from turning into winter I'd be one happy camper! I love the fall.. the leaves.. the pumpkins... making a scarecrow. This cute scarecrow comes from Meljens - there's lots of great digis there to choose from! The pumpkin is an old DOTS stamps from back in the day. I colored both images with my copics, added some scrap backround paper, embossed some cardstock with my cuttlebug, some spellbinder leaves and a few added leaves from Recollection.
