Paper Pups - FIF Challenge #9

I was very excited to do this challenge!  We had to use the Paper Pups Cartridge - the cut from page 104.  I got the paper pups cartridge free with the purchase of my cricut machine several years ago and haven't used it once!  I had no idea what a fun cartridge it could be!  Thanks to Flaunt it Fridays I was finally inspired to use it and had such a great time with it!  I used a cute dogbone pattern for the cat/dog backround and dimmensional dots to pop them off the page (hard to see in the pic) and embossed the inside heart for some more dimmension.  I also used Tim Holtz distress inks around the edges to give it the look I love :)

Give A Hoot

This week on you can flaunt your skills by using the "Give a Hoot" Cartridge - the subject is the bear in the trashcan on page 61!  I made this fun card with a polka dot backround and cuttlebug embossed solid green paper from stampin' up.  Flaunt it Fridays has a great blog so check it out!

Busy Weekend!

It was a busy weekend but between all the kids taxi'ing, grocery shopping and errends I did get the two owl cards done and these three prims!  These prims were inspired by Threadbareprimitives, I find some of my favorite patterns there.  Of course with any pattern, at the end of the day, I need to twist it up and make it my own!  But as always, I give my dolls a coat of coffee, vanilla and cinnamon and then bake them in the oven to give them that old, country look and a yummy smell!  The prim cat was actually made with a twist at the request of one of my customers who always has great ideas!

Mothers Day Card

A little early, I know.  If only I could be this ahead of the game when it comes to getting my christmas cards done!  Anyway, cricut came out with some new spring cartridges so I couldn't wait to play around with "Mother's Day Bouquet".  Its great - you can make 3 dimmensional flowers!  I distressed the edges of the flower with my favorite, Tim Holtz distressing ink to give a little color.  For the tag I used the cricut cartridge "Joy of the Season" and the lighter blue backround I used a cuttlebug embossing folder.  5 stars for having a card ready 4 months ahead of time! lol

christmas card 2010

Well, a little after the fact but I put so much effort into my chrismas cards this year I had to post a pic.  I was very excited when came out with this awesome christmas spellbinder die.  I immediately knew that this was what I wanted to use for my cards.  Of course I had a different stamp in mind but it just didn't fit at all so I went with this old stamp of a bear snowman and it fit perfectly.  Unfortunately the designer name isn't on the stamp for me to post but I had fun coloring him in and adding a little bling with Martha Stewarts Glitter glue, which I just love.  The green backround was embossed with a snowflake cuttlebug folder and I used Tim Holtz distressing ink to give a little bit of age.  I did successfully succeed in my goal of getting them done and out by christmas!

by popular demand i came up with a prim rooster doll.  So far he's been pretty popular!

Mamma & Her Daughter

This combo was designed for one of my very best costumers to give to her mom (who's an amazing person and another one of my best costumers!) - the pillow says "to the  best mom and my best friend".....  i hope that when MY daughter is a grown, married adult she feels the same way about me!
